Since accepting Christ as my Lord and Savior as a young girl, I’ve been writing poems and essays to share the good news of God’s amazing love. A few years ago, I turned my attention to writing Christian romantic suspense. The Forrestville series is my debut into the world of fiction writing.
I am an avid reader, often reading four or five books at the same time. I have an active (okay, maybe overactive at times) imagination that allows me to picture various scenes, then put them together in a story that not only provides sweet romance but a message of encouragement as well.
I’m an active member of American Christian Fiction Writers, and enjoy writing short devotionals to share in various venues.
My husband, Darran, and I have been happily married since 1981 and we have two beautiful, intelligent grown daughters. (Not a bit proud). We live in northwest Louisiana, and both work at the VA hospital in Shreveport. In my spare time, when I’m not reading or writing, I like to take walks, play with our dachshund-mix puppies Daisy and Dixie, and work jigsaw puzzles on my tablet. (No lost pieces that way).
Shield of Faith Publishing
Shield of Faith Publishing is actually my husband, Darran’s, brain child; specially created to publish and promote my books. With a solid background in computer graphics, Darran is the creative genius who takes the manuscripts and polishes them until they are professional in appearance. He also designs the book covers and bookmarks. I like to tell people, “I write the books; Darran makes them look good.”
